BSFL side AFC Boars booked their place in the fourth round of the Herts FA Sunday Senior Cup with a convincing win at White Hart Rovers.
Sonny French and Louis Austin both bagged braces as Boars registered a comfortable 4-0 victory.
There was no such joy for Hemel United, however, as they went crashing out of the tournament in a 6-0 loss to AFC Rangers.
Doves United progressed to the fourth round of the Herts Intermediate Cup as goals from Adiel Mannion (2), Dan Weeks, Callum Dennis and an own goal earned them a 5-1 win over Hartham Press, while Drays Athletic made it into the fifth round with a 6-1 win at PSV. Jamie Smith (3), Nick Jackson (2) and Jamie France netted.
Goals from Josh Chamberlain (4) and Marcus Tower were enough to send VFC through at the expense of Langleybury, while Greenacres II had Mark Crampton to thank for their win over Hammer.
Blackbirds Rangers flew into fifth round with a 3-2 win over AFC Letchworth thanks to goals from Arnold Adzahoe and Ben Fisk, but the Leather Bottle crashed out after losing 4-1 to Lea Sports PSG.
Elsewhere, AC Grapes progressed to the fifth round of the Herts Junior Cup with a 4-1 win at St Albans IFC – Drew Duggan and Justin Seymour netted a brace apiece – but Apsley Althletic were knocked out of the tournament by Standon & Puckeridge.
The biggest win of the week came in the Steve Norwood Challenge Cup third round, where Comets Sports Clubs thrashed nine-man AMG United 15-2.
Chris Marsh led the way with five goals, while Craig Lenane (3), Luke Sharpley (2), Scott Wood (2), Jack Wood, Dan Hartley and Scott Gungadoo completed the rout.
Comets Reserves also recorded a big cup win as goals from Craig Linsell (3), Alex McCarthy, Myles Cash and Tom Murnaghan earned a 6-1 win at KLCC in the BSFL Intermediate Cup third round.
Hemel Hempstead Corinthians joined them in the pot for the fourth round, beating Boxmoor Rangers 4-0 with goals from Andrew Deaton, Paul Hunt, Dritan Ndreu and Joe Kemp.
In league action, meanwhile, Premier Division side Berko Tornadoes thrashed Gossoms End 9-1 thanks to goals from Tom Shaw (3), Adam Hall (2), James Shaw (2), Tom Kelly and Ryan Sturges.
Flaunden managed to better that, trouncing Robin Hood 12-1 with six goals from Ben Adams and singles from Graham Blyth, Darren Miller, Jamie Allen, Chad Greatorex, Chazi Hokuza and Simon Gill, while Park Rangers beat Warners End 4-1 thanks to goals from Chris Parperi (2), Kevin Eaton and Romain Chapman.
The Queens Head were the big winners in Division Two, beating FC Intervino 6-0 with goals from Dave Ellis (3), Duncan Allen (2) and Dean Allen, while Graham Aikman hit all the goals for The Patch in their 4-1 triumph over Tornadoes Reserves.
Echoes Reserves were on form in Division Three, thrashing Tring Royals 7-1 with strikes from Bradley Phillips (4), Jack Joyce, Jack Bridges and Danny Lynch, while a Martin Jackson goal earned the win for FC Berko against The Three Blackbirds.
Dale Colls and Tom Hill gave The Three Tuns a 2-1 win at Berko Athletic, and Park Rangers Reserves and Potten End Sunday drew 2-2.
In Division Four, Jake Hosier (2), Luke Tobbitt, Adriane Keane, Simon Goodall, and Jake Blackburn earned a 6-1 win for Big GC at Sporting Blackbirds, while Poggenpohl and Old Bell Gate drew 3-3.
Craig McMahon (3), Sean Lane (2) and Mick Large were on the scoresheet for Herts Fencing in a 6-3 victory over Boxmoor Rangers Reserves, while Jamal Ayoub’s hat-trick did the damage as Palace beat Rose & Crown 3-1.
