HOUSEHOLDERS spoke at a meeting on Monday of their ‘dismay’ after hearing that they may no longer be able to collect parcels without a lengthy journey.
At the moment, packages that cannot be delivered to people’s homes can be collected from a venue in Berkhamsted High Street.
But after the centralisation of the Royal Mail’s sorting offices at a massive venue in Maxted Road, Hemel Hempstead, bosses say the service may close – ending easy local collection.
