Colchester Town Ladies 2 Leverstock Green Ladies 3
LEVY Green Ladies turned the league table on its head as they earned a shock win at runaway leaders Colchester Town.
Levy made a poor start and found themselves 1-0 down after some poor defending, but the visitors hit back shortly before half-time.
Giselle Subryan created an opportunity for Jane Rudderham, and the winger had no problem in firing home to restore parity.
Colchester regained the lead 10 minutes after the break, but again Levy fought back and forced an equaliser.
Player of the match Nic Hollick joined Subryan in attack and the pair combined neatly to allow Subryan to fire home.
Not content with a point, Green went in search of a winner and it duly arrived a couple of minutes before full-time.
Subryan picked up a loose ball and accelerated away from the Colchester defenders before finishing with aplomb to earn the three points for her side.
The victory moves Levy off the foot of the Division One South table at the expense of Hoddesdon Owls.
Next up for Levy is a home clash with Royston Town on Sunday.
A win for Green would move them to within one point of Royston who currently sit one place above them in the table.
