KEEP those post-Christmas Monday blues at bay by grabbing yourself a ticket to Screaming Blue Murder’s first comedy night of 2012.

The ever popular Monday nights of laughter kick off at Hemel’s Old Town Hall Theatre a week on Monday with Howard Read, Nick Doody and compere Windsor.

Howard Read is an acclaimed stand-up comic, writer, animator and actor and is probably best known for being one half – and also the other half – of Big Howard, Little Howard, the world’s first human cartoon double-act.

The stand-up Howard is a buffoon of the highest order – brilliantly off the wall, successfully mixing songs, jokes and stupidness.

He headlines comedy clubs across the UK, and has also gigged in New York, Iceland, Dubai, Shanghai and the French Alps.

The Daily Mail described him as ‘incredibly, achingly funny’.

Sharp and topical Nick Doody is one of the brightest talents on the comedy circuit. He’s not afraid to say what he thinks and his brand of political comedy and satire has won him fans all over the country.

Nick’s career as a stand-up got off to a good start when, still a student, he got to support the late Bill Hicks on his final tour of the UK. Bill himself had requested Nick.

Since then Nick has gigged regularly all over the UK as well as performing in Ireland, Germany, Spain, France and Croatia.

He’s also a regular at the Edinburgh Festival with his solo shows. Performing to critical acclaim, he’s gone on to sell-out at the Glasgow Comedy Festival and Soho Theatre in London’s West End.

Kate Copstick of the Scotsman described him as a ‘comic genius’.

Compere Windsor combines years of street performance skills with a natural charm and warmth, along with an enviable ability to make people relax.

A well-known face at Covent Garden and winner of five street performance awards including Best Comedy Act, Windsor is a hilarious and likeable comedian.

He’s the master of the put down who also delivers a constant stream of slick, well thought-out hot material.

Doesn’t January look better already?

Screaming Blue Murder Comedy presents Howard Read and Nick Doody with compere Windsor at the Old Town Hall Theatre in Hemel Hempstead on Monday, January 30 at 9pm – doors open at 8pm.
