THE Freemasons have offered to host a series of shows at a historic landmark after talks between the organisers of last year’s event broke down.
A public event was staged at Berkhamsted Castle for the first time in 15 years in September. Nearly 400 people watched The Pirates of Penzance in an open-air theatre at the site.
But hopes of a similar event in 2012 were thrown into doubt at a meeting of Berkhamsted Town Council.
