BURGLARS stole more than £4,000 worth of equipment in their second raid of a charity’s headquarters in the space of a week.
They stole four laptops, a bottle of port and a bottle of champagne during the break-in at Dacorum Mencap’s base in Hemel Hempstead’s old town High Street.
The bottles had been for an up-and-coming grand prize draw.
Dacorum Mencap’s development officer Liz King was called about the incident at 7.45am on Thursday – just two days after a small amount of cash was burgled from the base.
