For the first time in 100 years, scouts paraded outside Ashridge House.

Boys and girls aged from six to 25 from the West Herts District covering Tring and Berkhamsted held their annual St George’s Day parade and service on Sunday

The last time scouts met outside the house, now a business school, was 100 years ago when Lord Baden Powell, founder of the scout movement, attended following an invitation by Lord Brownlow, the owner of the house.

The more contemporary guests present during the service led by Reverend John Russell included the Mayors of Dacorum, Berkhamsted, and Tring, and the County Scout Commissioner Rikki Harrington.
