CHORISTERS will perform Mozart for crowds of cinema-goers.

About 35 members of the Berkhamsted Choral Society (BCS) will sing Mozart’s Lacrimosa, from his famous Requiem, for the 6pm screening of Amadeus at The Rex on Saturday.

They will be accompanied by a professional concert pianist before the Oscar-winning 1984 biopic charts Mozart’s life begins.

BCS singer Deborah Dolce said: “Two Berkhamsted institutions are getting together to bring to life one of the greatest composers of all times.”

BCS will perform the full Requiem, composed in Vienna at the end of Mozart’s life, with the English Philharmonia orchestra and conductor Graham Wili (above) in St Peter’s Church, Berkhamsted, on Sunday, May 7.

Phone 07500 431643 to book a ticket for St Peter’s or 01442 877759 for one to The Rex.
