The team at the Tring Festival Company are gearing up for their next production – and they think you’re going to love it.

And if you’re enamoured of the idea of getting involved, auditions are being held this weekend.

She Loves Me – a musical adaptation of the play Parfumerie by Hungarian writer Miklos Laszlo, which was also the source for the classic 1940 James Stewart-Margaret Sullavan romance The Shop Around The Corner, the 1949 Judy Garland musical In the Good Old Summertime and the Tom Hanks/Meg Ryan romcom You’ve Got Mail, is rarely seen on stage these days, but the Tring team is aiming to put that right in June.

The auditions will be held on Saturday from 2pm at the Old Church House in Western Road, Tring.

The group’s Eileen Reece said: “We are looking for a good mix of voices, both singing and speaking, as well of ages, shapes, and sizes.

“We will be looking to see how people can create character, as well as how they can bounce off each other and take direction from us.

“She Loves Me is a love story, but it’s a very great deal more than that. From the first lines onwards it sparkles with characters and stories, plots, subplots, gossip and intrigue.

“Forget the ‘stand there and sing’ type of show – She Loves Me never stops, combining challenging and memorable music with witty and engaging dialogue. It requires a cast brim full of energy, discipline, enthusiasm, and talent.”

Auditions are open to all, if you want to know more you can email shelovesme2013@gmail.com, call Sebastian Gibbs on 07960 655935 or 01442 824095, or view the blog at http://shelovesmetfctring2013.blogspot.co.uk
