Hemel Stags have announced their full coaching team for their first season in Championship 1 in 2013.

Stags head coach Troy Perkins has brought in three extra staff members to help the club take the next step into the semi-professional ranks.

Dan Stocks, Jermaine Coleman and Matt Lambert all join the coaching team with different backgrounds and experience.

Perkins, himself a former National Rugby League player at St George and Penrith, said: “It is refreshing for the players and for myself to have more people in and around the playing set-up at the Stags.

“Dan Stocks has been at the club since he was a kid and has been coaching at the club for many years – he has coached South of England Students and will bring great local knowledge to the table.”

Coleman, coming in as a player/coach, has a wealth of experience in the semi-professional ranks, having played more than 150 times from London Skolars.

“I can already see, in the sessions he has taken, how well the lads respond to him and how much knowledge he has,” said Perkins.

Matt Lambert, community coach at the club, is also taking on the role of strength and conditioning coach.

Perkins said: “He knows his stuff and is dedicated to what we want to achieve here.”
