A homegrown brewery has been given the nod to extend its licensing hours so that customers can grab a crate on the way home from work.
Tring Brewey in Dunsley Farm will open on Friday evenings until 8pm for beer tasting and buying.
The brewery shop hours have changed from 9am to 6pm Monday to Saturday and 10am to 2pm on Sunday, which means it will close two hours later.
Last Friday was the first late opening and included beer samples, which will be a permanent fixture.
Brewer Ben Marston said: “It’s there for people to get beers after work rather than having to use their Saturday to shop.”
The brewer is prepared for the Christmas shopping onslaught and has produced two festive tipples for customers.
He said: “We have Santa’s Little Helper, which is a 4.8 per cent winter warmer and Tringle Bells.
“Plus we’ll be at the Tring Christmas Festival selling Death or Glory.”
