A hairdresser says she will cut people’s hair for free if they are raising cash for a good cause after having her locks chopped for a children’s charity.
Mum-of-two Sarah McGuinness, pictured, had 13 inches of her blonde hair cut off to raise cash for The Little Princess Trust, which makes wigs for youngsters suffering hair loss.
She has sent her chopped off plait to the good cause so that it can be used for wig making.
The 27-year-old, whose hair is now the shortest it has ever been, said: “It wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be.
“It was like pulling off a scab slowly, I could feel it coming off the back of my head.”
Sarah, of Chaulden, Hemel Hempstead, is over the moon with her new barnet, which she says is much easier to handle, and has so far raised £432.50. More money is expected to come in.
The hair cut was done at The Red Lion in Kings Langley by Kelly Strong from Head Strong hairdressers in Berkhamsted on Friday.
Now the mobile hairdresser is offering to snip off other people’s hair for good causes. “Anyone thinking about having their hair cut off I will do it for free if they do it for charity,” said Sarah.
