Chesham United 0 Hemel Hempstead Town 0
Hemel Town picked up a point in a hard fought encounter with Chesham United on Tuesday night.
The Tudors will perhaps feel they did enough to come away with all three points, but chances were few and far between in the derby clash.
Hemel created openings for Dave Pearce and Victor Osubu in the first half, but neither could breach the Chesham goal.
The home side played a direct style throughout, but Mark Osborne remained relatively untroubled in the Tudors net as the game ended goalless.
Hemel’s attentions now turn towards Saturday’s home match against Bedworth United at Vauxhall Road.
Saturday is Non-League Day around the country, and Hemel are offering free entry for all people serving in the armed forces or emergency services, as well as anyone who is a season ticket holder at a Premier League, Championship, League One or League Two club.
Representatives from the Beds and Herts Army Cadet Force, who are working with the Royal British Legion to raise funds for this year’s poppy appeal, will also be in attendance.
Anyone wishing to attend for free should bring suitable identification, or a season ticket, and present this at the turnstiles. To confirm, please email info@hemelfc.com
