West Herts League

A STUNNING hat-trick from Curtis Donaldson made sure that Hemel Rovers moved safely into the second round of the Herts County Junior Cup at the expense of Rickmansworth St George.

Ricky took the lead against the run of play, but a Donaldson goal just before the break put the hosts back on level terms.

A second half brace by Sean Lane, as well as a Tom Porter header and two more goals from Donaldson, secured a 6-1 Hemel win.

Kings Sports, meanwhile, triumphed by the same score against Northchuch Baptist.

Michael Okoro grabbed a hat-trick, Jon Pilkington notched a double, and keeper Glen Dimmock scored from the spot.

Hemel Sharpshooters also progressed with a 3-2 win over Rebwood Green.

Warren Davies scored twice – including a 30-yard chip – while a fine 25-yard strike by Glen Howard completed the scoring.

Gadebridge FC also went through thanks to a 3-0 win over Daleys FC, while Tring Athletic B beat Harpenden Rovers Reserves on penalties after a 2-2 scoreline. Tom Haynes and Paul Dale had found the net.

Bovingdon went down 5-1 against Baldock Cannon and Potten End also went out, losing 6-2 to FC Letchworth. Gavin Beale got both the Villagers’ goals.

In the league, Rovers Reserves lost 3-2 at Aldenham with Josh Bromfield and Wasim Hussain getting the Hemel goals.

Rovers’ A team also lost by the same margin at Harpenden Rovers B. Tate Bartlett scored both of Rovers’ goals.
