A POLITICIAN has set aside £370 to replace a bench that was set on fire.
It had been in the play area of Butts Meadow in Berkhamsted. The donation is from the locality budget of Herts County Councillor Ian Reay.
He said: “It is a pity that some people think it amusing to destroy something put there for everybody’s use, but I am glad to help.”
