A MAN spent a year growing his hair into a mullet, dyed it purple and then had it all cut off for charity.
Tom Lewis’ friends gave donations to The Pepper Foundation, which cares for children with life-limiting illnesses, in return for each cutting off a piece of his hair.
He’s raised £180 from the event at pub The Crown in Berkhamsted on Saturday.
Tom, 25, from Chesham Road, Wigginton, said: “I was known as the guy with the mullet – it was part of my life for just over a year, so it’s definitely something I’ll remember.”
He thanked Katie Gillbert for organising the event, Lindsay Ansell for suggesting the idea and Berkhamsted hairdressers Ciente for removing the mullet.
