BERKHAMSTED’S original music night The Greene Note has another terrific line-up in store for their June gig next Thursday.

Headlining is JonPaul Palombo, pictured left, an energetic West Yorkshire singer-songwriter with an intimate sound based around melodic journeys and everyday lyrical fantasies.

He’s a charismatic performer who, with the support of a full band, produces a dynamic and catchy set of folk pop acoustic songs.

Supporting him are the Mancunian songster Gideon Conn who has been astonishing UK audiences for years with his joyous, thought provoking, soulful and always eccentric music, and Chesham band My Pet Shadow who were recently played on BBC Introducing with Tom Robinson on BBC Radio 6 – the programme where Tom showcases the best new online tunes from up-and-coming artists.

One half of My Pet Shadow, Mike, will soon be playing a rather less intimate venue when he drums in the opening and closing ceremony for the Olympics.

The Greene Note is at the Greene Room, The Kings Arms, Berkhamsted on Thursday, June 7 at 7.45pm.
