A CHINOOK helicopter has been practising its manoeuvres near Aston Clinton this afternoon – causing a huge stir with school children and parents.
Many pulled over to have a look during the school run home.
A spokesman for RAF Halton confirmed the pilot was rehearsing for performances at air shows across the country this summer.
It is understood that the weather conditions across the Vale are better than at RAF Odiham in Fleet in Hampshire – where the Chinook fleet is based. The RAF official said that a certain cloud clover is preferred to help practice some of the manoeuvres.
The pilot is understood to have remained above MOD property at all times.
