FLOWERS have been laid in Marlowes to mark 11 years since Darren Cooper’s life was brutally cut short.
Each year his parents Roy and Viv Cooper revisit the site outside KFC where their son was attacked and killed aged just 24.
They are joined by other family members and Chloe - Darren’s daughter.
Following a night out with pals on April 22, 2001, Darren was attacked outside the takeaway. He was hit with a large tree branch and stamped on by killer Daniel Button, while his cousin Bradley Galvin kicked Darren as he lay helpless on the floor.
