A SUPPORT group for women affected by breast cancer is being helped by a charity to enable its leaders to perfect their skills.
Macmillan Cancer Support has offered training to Sue Gore and Tracey Norris of Bosom Buddies Tring and has also given a grant for set up costs and to help raise awareness about the group.
The two women from Tring started the support group that meets on the first Monday of the month at Orchards Children Centre on Silk Mill Way.
They saw a need for it after they both survived breast cancer and wanted to help other women.
Sue said: “We are widening our network to include surrounding towns and we are also supporting women who have just had a diagnosis and want to talk one to one so the training being offered will help us with that.”
The next meeting, tonight from 7.30pm, will feature a talk by nutritionist Nicola Smith.
Sue said: “People and organisations like The Hospice of St Francis and Macmillan have been helpful.”
