ALLOTMENT holders had a shock when a mini tornado swept through their plots destroying pots and a greenhouse in its path.
It happened while the members of the Potten End Allotment committee were having their meeting in a shed last Friday at 5pm.
The force of the wind was so strong it shifted a greenhouse off its base by almost half a meter causing the windows to smash and threw pots 10 feet high in the air.
Allotment holder Connie Alford said: “It was scary but no one was hurt.”
