A FATHER who became a national charity’s biggest ever individual fundraiser when he ran last year’s London Marathon in memory of his soldier son is pounding the pavements again.
Steve Barnsdale, of Parsonage Close in Tring, whose son David was killed by a roadside bomb in Afghanistan in October 2010, raised a record £15,000 for ABF The Soldiers’ Charity.
And he has raised another £1,800 so far for this year’s challenge, which takes place on Sunday, April 22.
