A GROWING martial arts club is the latest group to put itself forward for a chance to bag £1,000 in funding.
Head coach at Hemel Martial Arts Denniston Sutherland, pictured, is hoping his entry will pack a punch with judges behind the Community Sports Awards scheme.
The club, based in Fensomes Alley, Hemel Hempstead, has members ranging from six to 55 years old.
The kids’ club tackles issues like bullying, teaching youngsters to walk with their heads held high and vital defence skills to protect themselves.

From the entries five finalists will be selected and put to the public vote to decide which two lucky clubs will get the cash.
