Rushjudo is one of the clubs which has registered its nomination for a share of the Community Sports Awards kitty.
The judo club currently boasts 44 junior members ranging from five to 16 years of age.
They also have 18 adult members with learning disabilities who take part in the award-winning Mencap class.
The club was set up by siblings Laurie Rush, Matthew Rush and Joanna Cook, and it aims to provide high quality judo tuition for the lowest possible cost to its members.
It is a family run club and is built upon three key principles: friendship, respect for each other, and inclusion for all, regardless of ability.
