A PERSONAL trainer who took on the failing gym he worked at has made such a success of it he has moved it into a bigger venue and given it a new name.
Business owner Adam Bell has set up tours of his new gym, called On The Limit in Western Road, Tring, for its opening on Saturday, March 3.
There will be no ribbon cutting to mark the occasion – the gym will simply be open to the public.
The business was formerly a female gym called Exclusively Ladies and has been transformed into a modern gym for both men and women.
Mr Bell said: “I was a personal trainer at Exclusively Ladies when the administrators came in one day and said if a buyer is not found in two weeks it will close.
“I made the decision to take it on and in the 18 months I have run it it has got to the point of needing to be expanded. I turned it around into a profit-making business.”
Mr Bell, who runs the business with his wife, hopes to double his 450 client membership at the new space, which is four times as large.
He said: “It has a cardio area, aerobics studio, spin area, free weights area, a roomy reception as well as showers and changing rooms.”
The 35-year-old from Wendover has changed the previous business model so that the gym is inclusive for all and he is planning on introducing some interesting new exercise class options, such as cheerleading.
He said: “We want to be the premier health and fitness venue in the area.
“I will be listening to what people want and give them a good service.
“It will be for people who want to go to the gym without feeling the need to look their best.”
